At Dolce & Serena, we source our wax and fragrance oils from U.S. suppliers, create our own fragrance blends, and hand-pour each candle in Sammamish, Washington. Our approach brings together personal creativity, carefully selected materials, and attention to presentation and details.
Our Fragrance Creations
Our founder creates Dolce & Serena’s fragrance blends in-house, combining carefully selected fragrance oils to express her personal vision for each candle.
Inspired by beautiful destinations, cherished memories, and gracious living, each composition is developed to bring a distinctive atmosphere into the home. From luminous florals to warm woods and amber, our blends reflect the mood and story behind each candle.
Why We Choose Our Fragrance Oils
Our choice of fragrance oils begins with more than scent. We also consider the manufacturer’s formulation practices, ingredient information, and commitment to the requirements of the markets it serves.
The manufacturer of our selected fragrance oils states that its fragrances comply with California Proposition 65 and applicable European requirements. Its commitment to both California and European markets was an important reason we chose these materials for Dolce & Serena.
We also value access to technical documentation, including fragrance-use guidance, European allergen information, and safety data sheets. This transparency gives us a more informed foundation for selecting materials and developing our own blends.
Considered Fragrance Formulations
The fragrance oils we use are formulated without parabens, phthalates, Lyral, Lilial, formaldehyde, or sulfates.
These specific formulation choices matter to us. Alongside fragrance character and suitability for candle-making, they are part of the care we bring to selecting the materials used in our collection.
Our Premium Wax Blend
Our wax was a deliberate choice, made after extensive research into the materials we wanted at the heart of Dolce & Serena.
We chose a premium, predominantly soy wax blend that represents a greater investment than conventional soy wax options. For us, the priority was finding the right foundation for our candles—one chosen with the same care we bring to our fragrance creations and presentation.
The blend contains a minuscule amount of food-grade paraffin for body and stability. This purposeful formulation is part of why we selected it: we value the complete blend and the qualities it brings to our finished candles.
Hand-poured in Sammamish, Washington, each candle reflects that commitment to carefully chosen materials and personal craftsmanship.
